About Sunwarper
Sonic Landscapes for Stationary Travelers
Sunwarper is a Los Angeles based project creating warped, atmospheric electronic music. Following several releases under the moniker Selles , Michael Jakucs brings a new emphasis on live instruments and sampling under the new name. Sun soaked melodies and a cryptic biome of field recordings create an audible palette which Jakucs uses to craft nostalgia dripped tunes. Songs drift into times since passed, as wistful synths give way to dusty beats.

Music for Imagined Landscapes
Join Sunwarper on an audio/visual journey featuring retro synths, warped melodies and dusty beats
Music for Imagined Landscapes finds Sunwarper on a sonic adventure through memories of places that don’t exist. He invites the listener to travel beyond the static of their screens and into rich vistic landscapes. With visuals created from AI given prompts based on each track’s inspiration, the album creates a soundtrack for a world only possible in your mind.
Inspired by the rise of 3D games on Playstation and N64 in his youth, Sunwarper blends analog gear with modern production aesthetics, creating lush soundscapes to get lost in. Imagined Landscapes is a yearlong project combining art, music production and cinematic storytelling. Each month, a new song soundtracking and accompanying a generated landscape will be released, welcoming listeners to join in on Sunwarper’s travels.
With the conclusion of this journey, a limited addition Art Book was printed featuring the full visual story of this project. While the physical edition is limited, a digital edition is available exclusively on this website.
