Gazing into the unknown

About Sunwarper

Sunwarper is an electronic musician, sampler artist, and educator whose music blends ambient textures, nostalgic melodies, field recordings, and dusty samples into cinematic electronic soundscapes.

Best known for pushing the creative possibilities of modern samplers, he shares music production tutorials, beatmaking experiments, and live performances on YouTube while continuing to release original music inspired by places that feel both familiar and imagined.
Whether working with a pocket sampler, a vintage synthesizer, or a single field recording, Sunwarper believes creative limitations often lead to the most memorable music.

Time is a precious and ever-fleeting gift. Each album I’ve made reflects a specific moment or phase of my life. Music for Imagined Landscapes was written while awaiting the arrival of my first child, expressing the joy, nerves, and everything in between during that unforgettable time.

After my son’s birth, time in the studio became scarce. Every moment I could find was charged with expression and sonic exploration. Over the course of 2024, I captured these fleeting moments on my YouTube channel, creating loops and tracks on hardware rather than staring at a computer screen. Building these tracks live with the community & sharing ideas during their creation was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had as an artist.
This album collects eight of my favorite tracks written during that time. Each began as a track made on the channel and was later developed to fully realize its vision and meaning. Together, they form a sonic journal of this chapter of my life, a narrative of finding tranquility amid chaos.
